New York is the largest city in the United States. It is also the world largest financial centre. The famed wall street is located there. New York has also played an important role in American Revolution. New York was also the first capital of United States under the Constitution. Philadelphia and subsequently Washington became capital of USA.
STATUE OF LIBERTY
Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to the United States. Statue was opened for Public in 1886. It is located at Liberty Island. The height of the statue itself is 46 meters. The height from the ground level is 93 meters. It has been sculpted by Auguste Bartholdi and its metal framework has been made by Gustave Eiffel. In one raised hand of the Statue is a torch and in the second hand has tabula ansata having the date July 4, 1776 in Roman, the date on which the declaration of independence was made in USA. It has become symbol of liberty and freedom in USA.

ELLIS ISLAND
Ellis Island was once busiest immigration processing station in USA. Form 1892 to 1954 , millions of immigrants were processed at this station. National Immigration Museum is housed within the immigration complex. Immigration Story of USA can be appreciated here.

NEW YORK STATE CAPITOL
New York State Capitol is seat of government of New York State. The building has been completed in 1899. It is a historic landmark.

BROOKLYN BRIDGE
Brooklyn Bridge was built in 1883 over East River to connect Manhattan and Brooklyn. It is steel bridge suspension bridge. It is around 486 meter in length. It is an engineering marvel.

NATIONAL SEPTEMBER 11 MEMORIAL
In an unprecedented terrorist attack by hijacking plane killed 2977 person in New York on 11th September, 2001. A memorial has been erected on that site. The names of 2983 victims ( 2977 killed in 2001 attacks and six killed in 1993 bombings ) are written on 152 bronze parapets. It reflects void left out of loss of life.

EMPIRE BUILDING
Empire State Building is 102 story building in New York. It was built in 1930-31. It was tallest building of the world till 1970. After construction of World trade Centre, it became second largest building in New York. But after destruction of World Trade Centre, it has again become the tallest building in New York.

METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART
Metropolitan Museum of Art is largest art museum in USA. It is popularly known as the Met. It has collection of around two million works.

FORT TICONDEROGA
Fort Ticonderoga is a fort build during 1755- 1757 by French during 18th century conflict between Great Britian and France.

TRINITY CHRUCH
The Trinity church has been built in 1697 and is one of the oldest landmark of the New York. It is located in Manhattan. The church was destroyed by the great New York fire in 1776. Second trinity church was constructed in 1790. Third Trinity Church was constructed in 1846 and continues to exist today.
